Cookies & Local Storage

WickSync primarily uses browser storage to keep your account session, security state and requested preferences working.

Effective and last updated: 10 September 2026

1. What we use

“Browser storage” includes cookies, local storage, session storage and similar device technologies. WickSync does not currently use third-party advertising cookies or sell browsing profiles.

CategoryExamplesPurpose
Strictly necessarySign-in, device, account, security, checkout state and short-lived referral attributionAccount protection, trial control, fraud prevention, billing return, honouring referral links and core app operation
Optional functionalityDismissed prompts, Academy progress, quiz results, creator voting state and interface choicesRemember actions and choices between visits when enabled in Cookie settings
Optional external mediaYouTube player storage or identifiersLoad and play YouTube media when enabled in Cookie settings

2. Essential storage

Essential storage is used without optional consent where permitted because the service cannot securely provide the requested account, checkout or session without it. Blocking it may prevent sign-in, trials, billing return, account linking or referral attribution from working.

When you open a valid referral link before signing in, its code may be kept in this browser for up to seven days. Once the code has been attached to your WickSync account, the temporary browser copy is removed. The account-level attribution remains so that eligible later payments can be credited to the referring affiliate.

3. External services

The app may connect to content-delivery, market-data, exchange, payment, notification, social-media or embedded-media services. Those services receive standard network information such as your IP address when your browser contacts them. Payment components are loaded when you request checkout or payout setup. YouTube media remains blocked until you select “Accept all” and may then use storage under YouTube's policies.

4. Controls

You can select “Essential only” to reject optional storage, or “Accept all” to allow optional functionality and YouTube media. Both choices leave account, subscription, checkout and referral access available. You can change the choice at any time from Cookie settings in the app footer.

You can also clear WickSync browser storage using your browser settings. Doing so signs you out and can make a device-only account unrecoverable unless you have linked a wallet or saved a recovery key. Browser notification permission is controlled separately in your browser or operating system.
